More news, late summer 2015

After a few unexpected family issues this summer, life rebounded with an extra spring in its step. First off, I juried into a show titled Animal Spirit at Location 1980 in Costa Mesa, CA.(http://www.location1980.com/) In short order, I found out that I also juried into the 2015 Juried Arts Exhibition at the Crooked Tree Arts Center in Petoskey, MI. (https://www.crookedtree.org/)

The Costa Mesa show runs from 9/1/15-9/27/15, with the reception on 9/12 from 6pm-9pm. I'm going to try to summon the courage to drive there and act like I belong among the more established artists. The Petoskey show runs from 9/19/15-11/21/15. The reception will be on 9/19 from 2-pm-4pm...needless to say, I won't be able to drive the 1900 miles to get there...though I know a couple of Michigan folks--MY folks!-- who might show up in my stead.

The one I really wasn't expecting was jurying into the Southwest Festival of the Arts at Buffalo Thunder Casino in Santa Fe, NM. (http://swfestivalofthearts.com/) (buffalothunderresort.com) That's an arts-fair style show with 10'x10' juried booths; it takes place 10/31/15-11/2/15, which is almost more than my skull-loving self can bear. HALLOWEEN AND DIA DE LOS MUERTOS. I'm frankly giddy over it.

Anyway, if you're near Costa Mesa, Petoskey, or Santa Fe, let me know. I can provide you with a list of impressive-sounding things to casually drop about me to the attendees. Some of them will even be mostly true.
